UTPD does not accept applications for regular, benefited positions directly.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Selection Process<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete and pass written exam<\/li>\n<li>Complete Physical Agility Test (sworn only)<\/li>\n<li>Pass a background investigation<\/li>\n<li>Panel interviews<\/li>\n<li>Pass a medical examination<\/li>\n<li>Pass a psychological examination<\/li>\n<li>Complete the Police Training Academy (sworn only)<\/li>\n<li>Complete a Field Training Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\">Compensation for Full-Time Benefited Positions<\/h2>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/humanresources.tennessee.edu\/compensation\/schedules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UT Salary Schedule (Knoxville campus)<\/a><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Longevity pay after three years at $100 per year up to twenty-five-year top-out (i.e.: three years: $300, twenty-five+ years: $2,500)<\/li>\n<li>Twelve vacation days accrued yearly (one day per month)<\/li>\n<li>Twelve days of sick leave accrued yearly (one day per month)<\/li>\n<li>Holiday pay and opportunities for paid overtime<\/li>\n<li>All uniforms and basic equipment provided<\/li>\n<li>Tuition paid for P.O.S.T.
