Building Access for September 2 Football Game

As the university prepares for the September 2 weekday season opener against Bowling Green, I want to make you aware of our plans to secure campus buildings that day.

Buildings surrounding Neyland Stadium that are typically cleared and locked on Fridays before a weekend home game will be cleared and locked electronically and physically at 3 p.m., on Thursday, September 2. There will be no card access to these buildings. They include East and South Stadium Hall, Alumni Memorial Building, Silverstein-Luper Building, and Zeanah Engineering West Campus.

All other campus buildings will be locked at 3 p.m., but card entry will be allowed for those with 24/7 access.

Some building owners have requested closure earlier than 3 p.m., however. If building managers would like closure before 3 p.m., please contact UT Central Alarm at utcentralalarm@utk.edu.

UT Facilities Services employees will assist the UT Police Department with building closures.

For game day parking logistics for students, faculty and staff taking class or working on campus September 2, visit Parking and Transit Services’ website.

For general game day information, visit UT Athletics’ website.

For safety or security concerns, contact the UT Police Department at 865-974-3114 or visit the website.
