All on-the-job accidents should be reported in 48 hours or less to the employee’s supervisor. A worker’s compensation claim must be completed and submitted to the Risk Management Office (974-5409).

Tips for handling injuries include:

  • Report all injuries, even if medical attention is not needed.
  • For all injuries, the employee should call CorVel at 866-245-8588 and select option 1. A nurse will provide information on available treatment locations or provide guidance in regards to minor injuries.
  • If medical treatment is acquired, the supervisor should call CorVel at 866-245-8588, select option 2 and complete the First Notice of Loss (FNOL).
  • For serious injuries or after hours, go to Fort Sanders hospital.  If life threatening call to 911 for transportation to Fort Sanders.
